Apple’s Online Personal Session provides customers guidance on set up for their new devices. With this service, customers get to access curated content that leads to better digital experience with inspiration, passion and engagement on their new devices. With 1:1 session with a specialist, customers can learn new skills, discover features, and explore ways to fully enjoy the device.

As the previous attendees have been mostly 45 and older, the new design targets younger generations to increase awareness. In order to appeal to the new target audience and to increase engagement, the design needed to be impactful, fresh and intriguing. The main challenge was to bring out the human elements without leaning on store lifestyle shots or product imageries as they were only literal translation of the service.

The solution was to focus on the possibilities consumers can create on their Apple devices. What really makes an Apple device meaningful is when it’s used to its full potential, through iOS/OS features and apps, allowing users to bring creativity and explore their imaginations. Therefore, showing the logos of the native Apple apps and the OS was chosen as it reflects how the devices are used and what the users learn from Online Personal Session.

With the logos presented up front, the design visually inspirational and delightful, brining excitement for the new devices. The simple yet powerful layout appeals to the younger generations while it clearly shows what Online Personal Session is about.
